Recently, Toronto Metro wrote an article about parking; not Chicago parking but parking nonetheless. Parking isn’t just a problem in Chicago, or even the United States for that matter. Parking sucks in Canada, too.

Let me summarize an article written by Matt Elliot before you head over to read it directly from him. Basically, the Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) is a public agency. They strive to help the parking situation across Toronto.

In 2016, the TPA plans on spending over $340 million on parking expansion. Like I said, the TPA is a public agency. This large sum of money could be directed elsewhere, but instead it’s being used to fund huge parking garages and parking lots – essentially, patches of land for cars to sit in.
