7 Last-Minute Milwaukee Summer Events
Summer is quickly coming to an end, but Milwaukee’s event calendar is still jam-packed with fun events to do outdoors with friends and family. Yes, we have had to reschedule some things along the way, but after the past several months, our little city of festivals has made a strong comeback. So here are some last-minute Milwaukee summer events that you do not want to miss:
Summerfest:
There cannot be an event list without mentioning Summerfest. The dates are a little later this year, but the sun is still out, the music is blasting, and the beer is still being served! See artists like Luke Byan, Chance The Rapper, & Twenty One Pilots on the September 2-4th weekend. Artists like Chris Stapleton, Zac Brown Band & Dave Chappelle will entertain you all weekend long from the 9th-11th! Finally, on our last weekend, Megan Thee Stallion, Guns N’ Roses, and Miley Cyrus will rock your world from the 16-18th. Amidst some of these headliners, hundreds of different musicians are coming to the Henry Maier Festival Park! Check out Summerfest’s lineup here & grab your tickets. Third Ward Art Festival:
Do you feel the need to be cultured and immerse yourself in the artistic Milwaukee scene? Then, the Third Ward Art Festival is the perfect place for that! From September 4-5th you can walk on Broadway from St. Paul to Menomonee and explore over 120 different artists!
Harley-Davidson Hometown Rally:
Rev up those engines for a colossal biker party ~ the Harley-Davidson Hometown Rally! Visit Harley-Davidson’s campus Labor Day weekend and check out all the bikes, live events, and Harley-Davidson history!
Walnut Way Harvest Day:
On Saturday, September 11th, at Fondy Park, Walnut Way encourages the whole community to come together and celebrate the harvest from all the local urban farms! What once was a local block party 21 years ago now has become a magnetic gathering to explore different cuisines, cultures, and music.
Prosit Tosa:
Want the summer feel but Oktoberfest taste? Look no further; Prosit Tosa is the event for you. This Oktoberfest will meet all your needs on Saturday, September 18th, at the Wauwatosa Historical Society-Kneeland Walker Grouds. So grab some beer, enjoy some pretzels, and soak up the music this year at Prosit Tosa.
Milwaukee River Challenge:
Milwaukee athletes and spectators will be thrilled by this late summer event on September 21st. Head to the river for The Milwaukee River Challenge, and watch several rowing teams from all over the Midwest take to a three-mile course. Want to mix and mingle with different groups? Head to the races finish at Schlitz Park.
Harbor Fest:
This year, not only is the Harbor Fest street festival returning, but Harbor Fest is also hosting the Milwaukee Boat Parade and Sturgeon Fest. Does this three-in-one event attract you? Celebrate all things harbor-related on Sunday, September 19th.
