ParqEx Product Pulse – May 2025 Edition

Welcome to your monthly roundup of ParqEx’s latest product enhancements across our platform. We’ve been hard at work improving guest parking flows, launching international capabilities, and delivering tools to make property management more efficient than ever.

Here’s what’s new and what you can now do better:

Hosts can now reserve guest parking and either:

• Pay on behalf of their guest.
• Let the guest pay directly via a secure link.

Bonus: If a guest doesn’t pay within 1 hour, the host can be automatically charged a nominal $1 fallback fee (if no hourly rate is set) to ensure the space isn’t blocked without compensation.

• New View: Admin panel now clearly shows who paid—the host or the guest.
• Cancellation Clarity: “False” is gone. You’ll now see a clear “Canceled” status.
• “Do Not Tow” Audit Trail: See exactly who deleted a vehicle from this list, and
  when. No more guessing.

Every Access+ device and LPR camera now has:

• Troubleshooting instructions directly tied to the device.
• Escalation contacts for rapid support resolution.

Perfect for on-site teams and support agents needing quick, copy-paste-ready instructions.

We now support Canadian Dollars and can handle transactions globally.

• Dynamic landing pages display the correct currency based on property settings.
• US and Canadian listings can now coexist seamlessly

• Future Reservations: Guests can now pre-book for future dates
• Flexible Pricing Options: Offer hourly, daily, monthly, or yearly reservations directly on your landing pages.

Use cases: tenants paying upfront for 12 months, event guests booking ahead, or retail visitors choosing the day they visit.

Our new “Pay to Exit” system is now live and being fine-tuned. Highlights:

• LPR camera tracks entry & exit.
• Guests are automatically charged for overtime if they skip validation.
• Developers are actively enhancing the flow to catch edge cases (e.g., exiting via entry gate).

Already seeing 2–3 transactions/day!

• Approvers (like Tower Company’s admins) can now Decline violation tickets—not just approve.
• Expired violations (past the 31-hour reset window) auto-filter into a separate tab.
• Bulk Enforcement Rule Edits now supported—select multiple rules, delete, or manage them faster

New zoning allows differentiated workflows by tenant type or retailer.

• Example: At Jia Apartments, zones now distinguish public parking from Starbucks/retail customers—enabling validations and automatic overstay charges.

• Admin panel now supports viewing 150+ devices at once.
• Campaign email/SMS tool enhancements.
• Property profile now includes currency settings.
• Minor bug fixes and performance optimizations for reporting, especially for large LPR datasets.

• Automated fallback payments for unclaimed guest reservations.
• Refined exit logic in Pay-to-Exit for edge case handling.
• Expanded currency support for more countries.
• Streamlined Admin UI with richer filtering and export options.

ParqEx App Product Update – March 2023

We just released a new ParqEx App Product Update – March 2023 available via mobile (ParqEx Android app on Google Play & ParqEx IOS app on the Apple App Store) or the ParqEx web app via any internet-enabled web browser. Please upgrade to the latest app version for our feature changes and enhancements. All your data, listings, bookings, and pre-saved settings will remain unchanged. Read below to see the new feature updates included in this release.

Starter auto-fill templates feature for getting started with parking spot descriptions, instructions, and more.

We have all gotten so used to auto-fill features when filling out forms online. So much so that some of us are deterred away when it is not available. After hearing feedback from parking spot owners and managers who manage their listings on the ParqEx platform; we built this feature to help get things started with starter text templates that can be selected to auto-fill the field. Yes, you will still need to customize the description for your specific property/parking space, but we’ve added five starter templates that you can choose from to get you going. All you have to do is press the + sign, select the one that is most relevant to your situation, then customize it to your property & parking space specifications, and finally, save and publish, that’s it!

“Someone in your spot?” enhancements

Nothing is quite as aggravating as getting to your final destination and finding someone else parked in your reserved parking spot. We know this can be a hassle, so we have made enhancements for when these situations arise. If you have an active reservation with ParqEx & someone is parked in your spot, you can click the “Someone in your spot?” button. If the property has an “exact match” parking spot, you can choose from the available spots, save, and your reservation will be updated & reassigned. If the property doesn’t have an “exact match” spot, please upload a picture of the offending vehicle & add their license plate to the notes section so ParqEx & enforcement officers can take immediate necessary action. Our customer support team, property management, and enforcement officers will be notified immediately after you click save.

(*What is an “exact match” reservation? Say, for instance, your reservation was booked from 9-11 am. The system is looking for a parking spot that fits that time).

Enforcer App Product Update – January 2023

We just released a new ParqEx Enforcer App update on both the Google Android Play Store and the Apple app store. Please upgrade to the latest version of the Enforcer app to take advantage of our feature changes and enhancements. As always, all your data, listings, bookings, and pre-saved settings will remain unchanged. Read below to see the new Enforcer App Feature Updates we have included in this release.

Image improvement with editing capabilities

For proper enforcement and parking management, clear & crisp photos of all vehicles’ license plates are necessary. So with our latest update for the Enforcer app, we are focusing on taking high-resolution images. Now, in-app, when users take photos of licensed vehicles (which will be part of the user profile), we’ve got high-resolution pictures accompanied by a new image editing feature. This editing tool allows users to scroll, zoom in and out, and crop images. So update the app, and be sure to keep a lookout at your daily reports, where you, too, will be able to see these new and improved images!

Improvements to the partial search of vehicles’ license plates

The second of our Enforcer App Feature Updates is a partial search of vehicles’ license plates. For enforcement officers and property management, enforcing a property’s parking revolves around the license plate. Yes, the make and model of the vehicle are essential and can help, but the license plate is the car’s actual identification. We understand that license plates sometimes show signs of wear and tear and are hard to read and recognize. With that in mind, we’ve built out a partial license plate search feature in the app. Upon searching for this partial plate number, the app will inform you that this plate is not in the system, as it is not actually a complete plate number. Still, it will list the number of partial matches and allow you to scroll through and, with a process of elimination, figure out what vehicle you want, depending on the make and model.
